Vy aims to make it easy to travel in a way that is environmentally friendly from door to door – not just between stations and bus stops. That’s why we have made some big changes in the Vy app.

See the train's position in the map if the train has departed from its origin. We also made it possible to filter on several operators in the travel search.
Under 'Find journey' you can now see where the train is and your entire journey in the map. Commuters will also be able to see the train's position under Favorites.
Remember that you can see the capacity of trains in the app, and choose a departure with good capacity. Keep a distance from others and buy the ticket before travelling.
We've spent the summer holidays doing a proper cleaning behind the scenes, to make the app work even better for you. Our new journeyplanner(beta) is getting even better, with access to both city bikes and kick bikes. In addition to that, you'll soon be able to buy tickets to multiple travellers at the same time. We have also made it even easier to select how you want to travel, so you can select between buses, trains and other modes of transportation easily.

Winter is coming!
As the outdoor temperatures decline steadily, we’ve prepared a new version with a brand new form for creating new user profiles. This new form effectively removes a few bugs in the old form (hopefully while introducing zero new ones), and generally makes the process a bit simpler and nicer.

The app now retrieves ticket updates at night in a new way that reduces power consumption. In addition, we've made some changes to how the app finds stations nearby.

Good news! We are launching a pilot for seat reservation with period tickets for commuters on Gjøvikbanen.
This release contains a facelift for the departure list, currently only enabled for Oslo - Bergen (more destinations coming shortly).
